General Audition Information

VLOG generally produces two shows each year. In early September, we audition for our fall Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. In early January, we audition for our spring production, which is usually a traditional Broadway musical or a non-G&S operetta. The fall production is performed for over two weekends in November and the spring musical is performed over two weekends in April. Although VLOG is a non-Equity, membership company, auditions for all roles, including all principal roles, are open to everyone.

The show is cast only from those who attend an audition in person - pictures and resumes are not accepted by mail or any other method.

Each of our shows is fully staged, costumed. Please note that none of performers are paid since this is a volunteer company. Ensemble rehearsals are usually held on Monday and Thursday evenings, with additional rehearsals for principals scheduled at other times.

If you wish to be informed of auditions, please send email to: auditionlist@vlog.org. You will be kept on the list for 12 months and informed of all auditions as they are announced. VLOG always welcomes backstage and offstage volunteers.

Anyone interested in participating in any non-performing capacity are encouraged to come to any audition night to let us know your interests and to meet with members of the company.
